My friend Danaé loaned me Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates, and it is by far the best read I’ve had in awhile. The novel is based on the life of Marilyn Monroe, combining both fiction and reality to leave you guessing as to what actually happened in the short but sensational life of Norma Jean.
