A league of her own.

Sorry for the corny title, but this caught my attention over at ESPN.com. Thirteen-year-old Katie Reyes hit a game-winning two-run single to push her Canadian team 14-13 over a German team in the Little League World Series Tuesday.

How adorable is she? I’d be cheesin’ too if I just clinched a win for my team! We all played little league when we were younger, but I doubt many of us made it to the World Series. Apparently it’s even more of a rarity for girls to be a part of teams that make an appearance. Katie is one of two girls playing in the LLWS this year, and according to ESPN.com, the first girl to have a game-winning hit in the world series. Clearly, the girl’s got talent, but maybe having such an awesome first name has something to do with it too.
